Bei den Programmen toolstar®testLX, toolstar®testWIN, toolstar®shredderLX and toolstar®shredderWIN haben Sie die Möglichkeit ein individuelles Lizenzpasswort pro Lizenz festzulegen. Dieses Lizenzpasswort aktivieren Sie im Kundenportal Licinger. Vor jedem Start eines der Programm wird dann nach dem Passwort gefragt. Ihre Lizenz wird erst dann als „in Verwendung“ angesehen, wenn Sie das Passwort korrekt eingegeben haben. Solange das Passwort nicht eingegeben wurde, wird auch keine Ihrer Online-Lizenzen als „in Verwendung“ angesehen.
Activate and set license password
On the left side of the interface in the customer portal (see image below) you will see the status withPassword request: Enabled | Disabledand Password set: Yes | No. First, activate the license password by clicking on Activate query. The page then reloads and shows the current status. Now go to the New Password input field and set a new password. The current password cannot be displayed. Please remember the password. However, you can change the password at any time, even without knowing the old password.
Disable license password
By clicking on the Deactivate query button, the password for this license is deactivated. The setting takes effect immediately and also affects sticks or files that have already been delivered.
Change license password
You can set a new password at any time. You don't need to know the current password. As soon as you click on Change current password the password for this license is changed. The setting takes effect immediately and also affects sticks or files that have already been delivered.
Possible application scenarios
- Use toolstar®testWIN Remote via remote maintenance to test remote devices. After testing, you can also leave the program with the customer. This person cannot use your license without knowing the password
- Delete devices with toolstar®shredderLX with the integrated remote control via VNC. The license password ensures that customers do not use your license on their own initiative.
- Have different licenses set up for different technicians. Every technician has their own license with their own passwords. So this license can only be used by that technician or his department.
Interface in the customer portal
You can access this interface via Licenses -> View Licenses (left menu) and then click on the Details button for one of your toolstar®testLX, toolstar®testWIN, toolstar®shredderLX or toolstar®shredderWIN Click Licenses. Then switch to the Manage license password tab.
