By default in toolstar®testLX and toolstar®shredderLX the UTC time zone is set. This means we are fulfilling our obligation to set the system up for worldwide use by default. After toolstar®testLX and toolstar®shredderLX is used worldwide and that is correct. However, this may result in the incorrect time being displayed in your country.
The settings at a glance
The settings can be found under Settings→System:
- Use NTP to get date and time from network/internet
Yes is selected here by default. This switch also allows you to disable the system completely. - Then write to the system's real-time clock?
Should the new retrieved time (presumably more correct than the real-time clock) be written into the system? - Only at the first main program start after reboot?
Should the current time only be called up at the first program star? - Set time zone
Here you can set the time zone in which you are located. You can search in the field. - NTP server address
Here you can use your own NTP server or use the default server ntp.ubuntu.com.

What happens if I don't have internet?
Then the system time is automatically used and no query is attempted. However, the time zone is also applied to this time. So you should always set these correctly.
