A possible error you may encounter when starting toolstar®testLX, toolstar®shredderLX or HDClone toolstar®-Edition is Could not create MokListRT: Volume Full. This error does not originate directly from the software products, but from a flaw in the UEFI and its key management of SecureBoot certificates.
UEFI systems have limited storage space in NVRAM for managing Secure Boot certificates. If this space is filled with keys, you will receive the aforementioned error. "Volume Full" refers not to the USB drive you use to boot, but to the "volume" within the device used to store the certificates.
To fix the error, the certificates need to be reset or individual certificates deleted. However, you shouldn't delete all certificates, as this can cause problems when starting with Windows or Linux. It's best to start by deleting the keys in the DBX database—specifically, the keys in the "Forbidden" database. These keys were stored there by Windows or Linux (depending on the installed operating system) and then deleted from the DB database (Allowed database). The platform keys are the root keys in the system and should not be deleted. You can delete all keys in the database to quickly free up space, or, as we recommend, start by deleting the oldest keys.
Depending on your system, you'll find the settings under headings like Security, Key Management, SecureBoot Keys, or similar. Not every system has all settings.
