From version 6.21 you will receive the output and automatic in toolstar®testLX and toolstar®testWIN Evaluation of the Seagate FARM log. FARM stands for Field Access Reliability Metrics and, in addition to SMART, records other hard drive health values. Various values are also the same in both editions. In these cases, the worst value is used to perform the automatic analysis. For example, if the value “Hours switched on” in the SMART is 4,957 but in the FARM it is 7,089, the value from the Field Access Reliability Metrics is automatically used.
Output in the information about the disk
Within the drive information you will receive not only the hard drive data but also a short informal output about the FARM log. This looks like this:

Recent news on using the FARM
Recently there have been an increasing number of problems with Seagate hard drives. These hard drives are sold as new, even though they have already run for several thousand hours. By deleting the SMART, the values have not yet been recognized correctly. With the new function, this is no longer a problem.
