Basically, Apple notebooks and desktop computers are tested by toolstar®testWIN supported. However, there is no official release from toolhouse. A basic requirement for starting on such devices is a WindowsPE or WindowsRE with the Windows drivers suitable for the device. These can be downloaded from the Apple homepage and integrated into WindowsPE/RE under Windows.
Create WindowsPE or WindowsRE
So that you can work on an Apple device with toolstar®testWIN , you have to start the device self-booting via a WindowsPE or WindowsRE. You can find instructions for creating it here: https://docs.microsoft.com/de-de/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/winpe-create-usb-bootable-drive
Don't forget to integrate the appropriate drivers for this device or for different models during creation. Only then is access to all hardware components possible.
Settings for booting from external media
By default, Apple devices only boot from the internal hard drive. In order to boot from external media, this must first be set in the device's Boot Security Utility. Instructions can be found here: About the Startup Security Utility
T2 security chips in modern devices
With a suitable WindowsPE and the drivers for the device under test, all components should be accessible without any problems.
Devices with M1 CPU from Apple
Very new devices with Apple's new M1 CPUs are currently only supported by Apple's own operating system. It is generally not possible to start on such devices.
